1840 US Census, Richmond, Ray county, Missouri

J. E. (Joseph Embree) Brockman listed as head of household, which included 1 male under 5 (Harmon), 1 male 5-9 (Clifton), 2 males 10-14 (Milton and Asa), 2 males 30-39 (Joseph and ?), 1 female 10-14 (?), 1 female 15-19 (?), 1 female 30-39 (wife Mary Jane). Daughter Hannah was not included in tally either due to enumerator error on this census or her birth year was incorrect on the 1860 census and she was born after the 1840 census was taken.
Joseph no longer owned enslaved people, even though Missouri was still a slave state in 1840.
