Her career begin at Stephens College in the Publications Office, then to Christian College (now Columbia College) as secretary to the President. She was promoted to being the Registrar at CC before moving on to the University of Missouri as an Admissions Counselor. She held that position until her retirement. [1] Lillian and her husband, J.R., enjoyed traveling to Branson, Missouri in their travel trailer twice a year to enjoy the country music shows. [1]
